The Micro Insurance Academy is a project of SUB (Sarvajan Unnati Bodhini), an Indian Public Charitable Trust based in New Delhi. SUB draws from extensive experience in the Indian insurance domain and inspired by spiritual and Gandhian principles SUB set out to make financial services – first and foremost microinsurance – work for the poor.

In recognition of SUB’s nature and activities, donations to SUB by individuals or companies are tax deductible as per section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961. Please see full details below.

Trust Registration Details: Registered as a Public Charitable Trust in New Delhi, registration bearing number 1886 in Book 4 Vol. No 3008, Dated 4 May 2007.

Income Tax exemption (12A) Details: No. DIT(E) 2007/2008/S-5045/1234 dated 30 November 2007, valid with effect from 4 May 2007.

Tax exemption on donations made to SUB (80G) Details: No. DIT(E) 2007/2008/s-5045/3621 dated 19 Feb 2008, valid from 4 May 2007 to 31 March 2009.
